Trump says FBI agents raided his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida.
Former President Donald Trump said
Monday that FBI agents searched his Mar-a-Lago club and residence in Palm Beach, Fla., and opened his safe.
The FBI and the Justice Department declined to comment, although Trump said Monday night that he had been told the raid was related to the possible misuse of government secrets from the National Archives' White House records. After the recovery, the Department of Justice is investigating it.

"The purpose of the raid, they said, was because the National Archives wanted to confirm whether or not Donald Trump had any documents," the former president's son told Fox News. told the News. "And my dad has been working with them for months. In fact, the lawyer who's working on it is completely amazed. He says, 'I have such an amazing relationship with these people. And suddenly, without any notice, they send 20 cars and 30 agents?''

The younger Trump said he got a call about the raid Monday morning and alerted his father.
